What is the Terra Salina?

THE TERRA SALINA BEARS WITNESS TO THE WEALTH OF CULTURAL HERITAGE IN OUR REGIONS

Terra Salina has an exceptional natural environment and heritage, bringing together 7 UNESCO World Heritage sites, 5 spa towns, and 4 salt industry towns. The seven structures got together to develop and value the heritage over two Departments in France and 5 Cantons in Switzerland. We suggest that you discover the rich inheritance and history of French /Swiss salt industry with 6 possible itineraries. The touristic Via Salina circuit is an itinerary directly managed by Terra Salina, and the itinerary was created, maintained, and the trail markings on the rambling/hiking paths developed by the Fédération Française de la Randonnée Pédestre (The French Rambling Federation). The other rambling and cycling itineraries that also value the salt industry heritage are all individually managed by each of our partners.
